Our U7's played on Sunday at Idle in a very good game of football. On Saturday we were able to get another player and haave him registered to play on Sunday, we have 6 players now registered with the U7's and are always open to more plkaers who would like to play.

On Sunday we turned up at Idle's ground with 4 fit players available, Idle helped us out by lending us a player at each 10 minute interval. In the first period Myrtle Park went on theattack and was thwarted by Idle's defence, who turned the ball round and put on a fast attack which resulted in a goal( 1-0). Myrtle then put some good moves on to set up the borrowed player with a shot on goal and he scored (1-1), we then kept up the pressure with good solid defence work and only missed by hitting the side netting. At the first change round we started very strongly with a fast move forward which resulted in Harris Almond scoring a really good shot (1-2),we then applied more pressure and had a few misses, then we had a good build up of presure for Annika Greenwood to score with a close range shot (1-3). After the restart of the 3rd period Myrtle kept up the pressure and was rewarded with annika scoring for a second time(1-4), but all the hardwork that the kids were putting in started to tell and Idle pulled one back (2-4). With some really good defence work from Thomas Hodgson helped out by new boy Lewis Brooke we were able to keep Idle out for the rest of the period. At the start of the 4th period Myrtle were a little slow to respond to a attack by Idle and they scored (3-4) and as the period went on the Myrtle players started to show their tieredness as Idle scored again (4-4), but the kids kept on going and had a final flurry at the Idle goal only to see the ball go wide. At the end of the game we could not be any prouder of the perfomance by the little ones in only their second game. This week we at playing at home ( Congs Pitch) down over the Iron Bridge at Myrtle Park in Bingley so please come and watch them.
