We played our 3rd game on Sunday against a Shipley team that had been together from the begining of the season, and it told in the first quarter.

Shipley kicked off and you could tell that they had played together longer than we have by the way that they pased the ball between each other and this enabled them to take a very quick lead and expand on it untill it was 0-5 to shipley. With a very enthusiastic Lewis running all over the pitch , he got too enthusiastic and put the ball in our own goal 0-6.

At the start of the second quarter Shipley started strong but we held out and turned defence into attack and Lewis made amends by planting the ball in to Shipley's goal (1-6), we continued with pressurizing the shipley goal and Lewis got his 2nd  goal (2-6), Liam followed this with another goal (3-6) and Shipley still had no reply when Liam got his 2nd (4-6). A the begining of the third quarter Harris was in goal and from one of his goal kicks the ball went straight through the Shiple defence to th keeper who miss handled the ball and it went in giving Harris our 5th goal (5-6) with Myrtle applying more pressure we just could not convert into another goal. Inthe last quarter Shipley applied pressure on us and we held out untill the last minute when they sneaked in a 7th goal to win the game(5-7). With really good performances from Anniks, Thomas and Cole in midfield and defence we can see the kids developing very quickly.
