| With nearly half the season gone we were bgining to think that we would be the team that almost got there with our performances but this week we showed what we can do when we play our passing game. We kicked off and applied pressure from the start with 2/3 chances just going wide, we continued to put pressure on Settle and it told when we pushed forward and we got a shot in which the Settle keeper fumbled and Lawrence had followed in and pounced on the mistake to score (1-0). Settle applied their own pressure and got 2 quick goals (1-2) but we rallied and started to pass the ball again and started to open up the Settle defence, this resulted in Akash scoring our second(2-2). At the restart for the second half Settle had regrouped and were applying pressure that our defence handle very wel and from that we were able to attack again resulting in Jaacob scoring (3-2). We started to dominate the game and this resulted in Aaron getting in on the scoring (4-2), we continued to really p#ressure the Settle goal but just cvould not convert any more pressure into goals. With really good performances from Sam, Elliott, Fraser ,Liam and Declan in defence and from Tom and James in the midfield and Charlie putting in a really good season in goal we were unlucky not to get more goals. We play Westwood at home this Sunday so another good performance like this and we can have our 3rd win of the season, so please come and support us. Weplay at Marley on pitch 1. |
